Brookes powers to race one win at 'Big Brands Bash'

Josh Brookes rode a masterful race on a slowly drying track at Brands Hatch to take victory in the first race of today's Bennetts British Superbike Championship 'Big Brands Bash'.

His Be Wiser Ducati teammate Scott Redding's choice of an intermediate rear tyre in the changeable conditions cost him dear, trailing at the rear for much for the race after starting in pole position. But a fastest lap late on put him on pole again for race two.

Dan Linfoot scored his first podium of the season in second place after major changes to his Santander Salt Tag Yamaha paid off, while early leader Tommy Bridewell finished third for Oxford Racing Ducati. to take the lead in the championship.
