Monster Energy Fans' Thursday is here!

Thursday, July 17 2014

MCE British Superbike festivities kick off at Brands Hatch today (17 July) with Monster Energy Fans' Thursday. Entry to the venue is free, with the gates opening at 12.00.

Some of MCE BSB's biggest names will be at the circuit today, giving a series of exclusive interviews at the Monster Energy rig, situated on the outside of Clark Curve. British Eurosport's Matt Roberts will be asking the questions, starting with Tyco Suzuki's John Hopkins at 15.00, as he prepares for his first appearance on the Grand Prix circuit since his infamous championship battle with Tommy Hill in 2011.

Hopkins will be followed on stage by TT-legend and FFX Yamaha Star Ian Hutchinson (15.15), Knockhill race-winner and three-time champion Ryuichi Kiyonari (15.30), then the Lloyds British GBmoto Racing Kawasaki pairing of Chris Walker and James Ellison at 15.45.

Tommy Bridewell and Josh Brookes will offer a Milwaukee Yamaha perspective on the weekend ahead at 16.15 and 16.30 respectively, before local hero Shane 'Shakey' Byrne brings things to a close at 16.45.

The pit lane will be opened to the general public at 15.00, allowing a closer glimpse at the teams' weekend preparations.

The Monster Energy Fans' Thursday will conclude with an official track walk for fans on the legendary Grand Prix circuit. The Kentagon restaurant and bar will be open all afternoon and into the night, along with other food and drink units.
