Capacity entry ready for Donington's Dukeries Rally

Tuesday, October 08 2019

A capacity entry of 80 cars will compete in this Sunday's (13 October) Rainworth Skoda Dukeries Rally at Donington Park.

The event will again see Donington transformed into seven special stages, designed to test man and machine, encompassing the Donington Park circuit and surrounding areas. To commemorate the 60th consecutive running of the event, the total stage distance will be 60 miles.

The entry for the event is headlined by former Motorsport News Circuit Rally Champion Ian Woodhouse, who returns to action with his Ford Escort Mk2 alongside Jason Leaf. Graham Coffey and Jon Atherton, who finished third in the rally last year at the wheel of their Ford Fiesta WRC, car are back again, and having finished in the top three for the last two years, will be looking for a first Donington win.

Darrian cars have enjoyed success at the Dukeries Rally at Donington before, so the sporty-looking machine of brother and sister duo Joshua and Tamsyn Davey could well challenge for overall honours too.

The rally will also feature the usual favourite machines including Subaru Imprezas and Mitsubishi Evos, and no fewer than 20 classic Ford Escorts appear on the provisional entry list!

The Rainworth Skoda Dukeries Rally is due to commence at 9.15, with the paddock open throughout allowing fans to see the cars prepared in the service area between each stage.

Tickets are available on the gate priced at £16 for adults, with free entry for children under 13 and discounts for teenagers aged 13-15. For more information, click here.
