Cadwell Park ready for BMCRC Battles this weekend

Tuesday, September 12 2017

The British Motorcycle Racing Club make their second 2017 visit to Cadwell Park this weekend (16-17 September), a favourite amongst bike racers.

The British Motor Cycle Racing Club, known as BMCRC or "Bemsee", is the World's oldest motorcycle racing club and are proud of their heritage as the Club enjoys a position at the heart of two and three wheeled racing in the UK, with many stars past and present owing their development to the club.

This weekend sees races for BG Products MRO Powerbikes, MRO Clubman 1000 Cup, Team Respro MRO 600 MRO Clubman 600 Cup, Team Green Junior Cup/Senior 300 Series, MRO Minitwins, BMCRC Rookie Minitwins, BMCRC Thunderbike Sport, BMCRC Thunderbike Extreme, BMCRC Rookie 600, BMCRC Rookie 1000, DFDS Yamaha Past Masters and BMCRC Blue Haze 2-Stroke GP, RKBF1/BMCRC F1 & F2 Sidecars.

The most impressive machines on display in terms of outright pace will appear in the MRO Powerbikes series, which is open to all 1000cc bikes, with heavily tuned machines racing alongside stock bikes. These races are run to open rules, meaning that competitors can experiment with a wide variety of tyres and advanced performance parts as they search for the ultimate lap time. These machines will be stunning to watch as they fly over the infamous Mountain section.

Other classes to look out for include the Team Respro MRO 600 for Superstock and Supersport machines, plus Rookie 600 and the retro Yamaha Past Masters. The latter  will recreate times gone by with an abundance of retro bikes to complement the modern machinery on circuit this weekend.

Adding to the variety of machines on track this weekend will be the RKB-BMCRC F1 & F2 Sidecars, the intensity of the racing makes for exciting racing and is as popular as ever with spectators.

The paddock will be open, allowing spectators to meet the teams and riders, whilst also taking a closer look at the bikes as they're prepared for battle.

Tickets for the BMCRC Bike Championships are available online for £10 or on the gate for £15, with free entry for under-13s. For more information, please call 0843 453 9000 or click here
