Winter improvements carried out at Brands Hatch

Wednesday, February 08 2017

Several improvements have been carried out to track and public areas at Brands Hatch over the winter, ready for another busy season of events at the Kent venue.

Work includes improvements at the pitlane exit, where some track resurfacing has taken place, plus a renewed debris fence. Fencing has also been renewed at some of the marshal posts on the circuit.

The Indy circuit grandstands have also been improved ahead of the new season, with replacement boards fitted.

Additional works scheduled to be completed for the new season include repairs to access roads, including new road markings on Colin Chapman Way, which runs from the main entrance to the outer paddock, parallel to the circuit's Brabham Straight.

The children's adventure playground, located behind the Kentagon bar and restaurant, is also set to be re-turfed.

Circuit Manager, Mike Groves, said: "A number of small, but noticeable improvements have been planned for the winter, and these will benefit competitors, participants and visitors to the venue. Once again we have a packed season of events just around the corner and we look forward to welcoming everyone during the year."
