F4 and more at final Brands Hatch race event of 2015 this weekend

Monday, November 09 2015

Brands Hatch hosts race action for the final time in 2015 this weekend (14-15 November), with headline action from the Duo BRDC Formula 4 Autumn Trophy and a packed MSVR support programme.

The BRDC F4 Autumn Trophy marks the dawn of an exciting era for the UK's leading single-seater as the teams get to grips with a new car which will make its full season debut in 2016. A talented field of young chargers including current and former McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver Award nominees Ben Barnicoat, Harrison Scott and Sennan Fielding took to the track for the car's opening event at Snetterton, and it will be fascinating to see how they deal with the challenges of the Indy circuit.

Additional single-seater entertainment will be supplied by a Champion of Brands double-header for 1600cc Kent-engined Formula Ford cars racing at their spiritual home. Similar low-downforce open cockpit cars will appear in the Formula Vee Festival for VW-powered single-seaters.

The bumper single-seater line-up will be completed by the MSVR Monoposto Indy races, which cater for open-wheel machines of all shapes and sizes.

Saloon car entertainment will be added to the mix on Sunday with the intermarque Production BMW vs Production GTi Challenge races and the Victor Meldrew Trophy. The latter is a light-hearted end-of-season event where the gentlemen drivers' age, sight correction, length of marriage and a variety of other factors are taken into consideration in a unique handicapping system - outright pace isn't everything here!

Tickets for the Duo BRDC F4 Autumn Trophy and MSVR Club Car Championships at Brands Hatch on 14-15 November are available online until midday on Tuesday 10 November for £10 with free entry for under-13s. For more information, please call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
