Enjoy the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit on board a Williams FW34

Friday, November 29 2013

Contemporary Formula 1 returned to Brands Hatch in October when the Indy circuit was lapped by a Williams FW34, the same car in which Pastor Maldonado won the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix.

Maldonado shared driving duties with Williams reserve driver Susie Wolff, whilst Valterri Bottas found himself behind the wheel of a Williams FW08, the car that guided Keke Rosberg to the 1982 World Championship and in which circuit owner Jonathan Palmer made his Grand Prix debut, also at the Kent circuit, a year later.

The whole day was arranged by the Williams team to thank sponsors and associates for their continued support of the team by offering them unprecedented access behind the scenes.

The below video shows on board footage from the day, the drivers had to deal with tricky conditions which produced a sideways moment or two!

Historic Grand Prix cars will return to the circuit at next years Masters Historic Festival. Keep an eye on the Brands Hatch website for further details.
