Spectator information - MCE British Superbikes at Brands Hatch

To help make your visit to this weekend's round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch even more enjoyable, we have pleasure in providing some important information to help you make the most of your weekend.

Gate opening times and prices

The gate opening times this weekend are as follows:

Friday              8am - £10
Saturday          8am - £13
Sunday            7am - £31

Children 12 and under go free on all days.

Southbank Parking

Southbank (the area inside the venue opposite the rear of the pits) is available for car parking (not bikes) on the following days:

Friday              CLOSED
Saturday          £2
Sunday            £5

If you intend to park on Southbank you will need to click here and download a pass.

Please display the pass in your windscreen to ensure that you are directed to the correct entrance when you arrive at the circuit.

Tickets

You will need to bring your original tickets to the circuit - copies and receipts are not accepted. All advance tickets have now been dispatched and were sent by either Recorded or Special Delivery, meaning a signature is required.

In the rare instance that your tickets have not arrived in time you will need to purchase them at the gate price and obtain a refund after the event by returning the gate ticket stubs and your original tickets to the venue office.

Please have your tickets separated before arriving at the gate.

Grandstand seats

Limited grandstand seating is available to purchase from the Megastore opposite the Kentagon restaurant.

Pit walk

There is a pit walk on Sunday at 11:00. Anyone intending to take part will need to arrive at the queuing point next to Paddock Hill grandstand a minimum of 15 minutes early. Please note: There will be no admittance to the pit walk after 11:07.

Weekend Camping

Camping will be available to purchase at the gate for £25 per person. Children aged 12 and under camp free. The campsite opens at midday Thursday before the event and will close at 21:00 Sunday (campsite services will be unavailable after this time so campers remain by their own volition).

Programmes

Event programmes are available for just £5 from the dedicated programme booths or from the Megastore. Each programme includes rider profiles and a selection of in-depth articles on all championships competing this weekend.

STIHL big screens

You won't miss any of the action thanks to the STIHL big screens located on Southbank.  There is also a big screen opposite the Hailwoods Grandstand on the inside of Paddock Hill Bend.

Win £500 of STIHL outdoor power tools

The STIHL Power Award gives you the chance to win STIHL outdoor power tools worth £500 and your photo could appear in the 'Gallery' on the MCE BSB website. All you need to do is send a photo of the first rider to pass the STIHL No. 1 marker at the first intermediate checkpoint and send it to bsbmedia@msvracing.co.uk

Demonstration laps

With the great form of British riders in MotoGP, and following on from our tradition of special bike displays and demos, Ducati Coventry/JHP Racing will bring their stunning ex-Capirex #65 990cc Marlboro Ducati Desmosedici MotoGP bike for some demonstration laps on Sunday at Brands Hatch.

There will also be some unique demonstration laps by the extraordinary Britten V1000, an iconic machine built by John Britten and a group of friends with limited resources in a home workshop in New Zealand during the early 90s. Scott Smart will ride the innovatively designed motorcycle which has been bought to the UK by New Zealand collector Ken Grant. This machine is the actual World Championship-winning bike, which won the 1996 World BEARS (British, European & American Race Series) title and is one of only ten ever produced.

Datatag Extreme qualifying press conference

Following the Datatag Extreme Qualifying session on Saturday there will be a press conference taking place at the MCE BSB pod located outside the Kentagon.

Entertainment

The Inch Perfect Trials Display will be performing onSaturday at 10:45, 14:15 and Sunday 10:45, 14:15. The team will be providing a breath taking first class family display including tricks, jumps, extreme motorcycle control and a whole variety of manoeuvres that you wouldn't think is possible!

Evening Entertainment

On Friday night, dance the night away at the Kentagon Disco featuring a full range bar. On Saturday night, in the marquee adjacent to the Kentagon, a great three band line up will keep you entertained deep into the evening. Muddy Rivers Blues & Soul Band, Fats Walters Band and Delaney will provide an amazing night of live music from 19:00 until late. The disco will also be in full swing inside the Kentagon bar itself.

Fun Zone

Throughout Sunday, the Brands Hatch Fun Zone will offer an assortment of exciting rides and activities for the whole family including fairground rides, Bouncy Castle, Mini Quads, Mini Diggers and Bungee Trampolines. The Fun Zone is sure to keep the whole family entertained throughout the day. Face painters will also be located in the Fun Zone for our younger race fans. There is also an adventure playground by the Kentagon Restaurant.

Britten's Parade

On Saturday and Sunday, the legendary Norton Manx motorcycles will take pride of place on Britten's Parade by the Kentagon. Made between 1947 and 1962, the Manx dominated motorcycle racing in the hands of riders such as Geoff Duke and Harold Daniel. This display of British Racing history is not to be missed.

Adult tickets are available to purchase on the gate for all three days, whilst children 12 and under are admitted free. Brands Hatch offers sensational views around the circuit with giant TV screens to ensure you won't miss any of the action, and with excellent weather predicted this weekend it's set to be the biggest event of the season at Brands Hatch.
