Thundersport GB Club roars into Brands Hatch this Bank Holiday

Sunday, August 22 2010

The Thundersport GB visits Brands Hatch this Sunday and Monday (29-30 August) for a Bank Holiday bonanza of club bike racing action, with a packed timetable of over 30 races over two days.

The Thundersport GP1 class has speeds similar to British Superbike Evo, and series leader Phil Crowe and defending champion Peter Baker are the pick of the bunch in a class that also features the Supertwins category.

The BMC Filters Formula 600 Class is too close to call with four rounds remaining. Defending champion Michael Price on board his IPS Triumph hasn't won since Snetterton in May and now has Alan Tanton, Seb Bulpin, Jody Lees and Adam Oliver breathing down his neck.

The LMB Streetfighter 'A' class leader Jamie Wilkins will be eager to extend his Championship lead on home turf at Brands Hatch while in the 'B' category, Barry Utting has won an astonishing 20 out of 22 races and looks set to secure the championship this weekend. The 'C' features Supermoto machines, and Sean Goldsmith and Tony Hughes are the riders to look out for.

Newcastle's Chrissy Rouse is edging closer to the Aprilia Superteens title, but his work is not yet done as 12-year-old Callum Bey from Scotland continues to impress and Dover rider Jake Dixon arrives in Kent after winning the last four races.

The Eastern Airways UK F1 Sidecar Championship is the largest championship of its kind in Great Britain with a grid full of current and ex-world champions.

Also featuring this weekend is the Termignoni Superstock, 125GP, Supermono, Moto 450 and Thundersport 500.

Tickets for the Thundersport GB Club at Brands Hatch on 29-30 August are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
